Singing Rooster is a non-profit that brings Haitian products (art, coffee, cocoa and more) direct to consumers and stores with 100% of the proceeds funneling back to the farmers and communities in Haiti. Its mission is to open markets, pay above fair trade, and reinvest revenues in agricultural and business development for rural communities. Some of the non-profit members live in Madison, WI! This coffee is beautiful, the quality of prep and consistency of the beans is impeccable.

This is a blend called Three Mountains. It's a mix of three growing associations located in the Thiotte region of Haiti. Mare Blanche, Tete and Colin. Each grown in a separate high altitude area of the same region. Molly, who runs Singing Rooster with her husband Chris put this blend together to really bring forth the terroir of the area, a wonderful mix.

As an origin, Haitian coffee remains scarce and is prized for its smoothness and balance; Singing Rooster also promotes nurseries, reforestation, and mill improvements to strengthen quality at origin and the resilience of coffee-growing communities.

Flavor
Robust and strong with an exotic, sweet, chocolaty, malty edge with some smoky tones and just a little hint of floral acidity, a wonderful everyday drinker.
