Whole bean coffee

Grind size, weight, pressure, temperature, flow rate, puck resistance and decay... Espresso is hard.

Make this the easiest part of your espresso process. For five months, Cuckoo has been working on perfecting an espresso blend that is delicious and forgiving. Not too light, not too dark and perfectly balanced to help you get even closer to that mythical "god shot."

A blend of rotating components from Brazil, Ethiopia and Mexico, including an organic Robusta that adds a caffeine punch and crema. Roasted just to the edge of darkness with an emphasis on the carmalization of the beans in the middle part of the roast. Sweet, chocolatey and fruity with just a hint of bittersweet dark cocoa.

Only Espresso Beans We Buy

My husband and I got on the coffee-snob train during the pandemic and after testing quite a few espresso bean brands, Cuckoo espresso is now that only espresso we buy! Creates a delicious shot every time - or my preference, an americano. Highly recommend!

Decent starter espresso

Once dialed in (which is not difficult), these beans produce decent espresso. Nicely balanced flavor, not over-roasted IMO. The crema doesn't last long and the mouthfeel is a bit watery, but otherwise quite enjoyable. I will probably buy more down the road.

Thanks for your feedback. What were your settings (dose/grind size/water temp)? I find that you can increase the body by grinding slightly finer and lowering your water temp. Also, you wanna make sure your flow rate isn't too high - that can water down your cup. Most espresso blends are either over developed or over roasted. I try to balance the two so you can make adjustments to your specific liking. If you over roast, you can easily increase the body, but at the same time you most likely extract bitter roast flavors because the bean becomes too brittle. I'd be happy to work with you on developing a roast profile that works for you if you like - just let me know!
