MEDIUM ROAST
Marcio Ricardo has worked in coffee his whole life. Unlike many farmers who are born into a family with land, Marcio started out working the land of other people's farms in Mantiqueira region at the age of 9. It wasn't until just last year that he stepped in to accept a partnership in a coffee farm that he was helping manage near Conceição das Pedras. Sitting at 1,200 meters above sea level, the farm has roughly 5 hectares planted with 2,500 coffee trees. They have chosen the Catucaí variety, a hybrid of Catuaí and Icatu developed in Brazil for disease resistance, high yield, and relatively good cup. Marcio's coffee is perfect for mid-to-dark roasts, punchy bittersweet chocolate, and full-bodied.
Flavor
Chocolate! Creamy cacao, bittersweet torte, rounded out by hints of toasted malt and hazelnut. Makes a super creamy espresso.
