Fredy Vasquez' farm is located in the Lempira sub region of western Honduras. His farm is situated near a fresh water source, the Quebrada Honda, with coffee planted between 1400 and 1600 meters above sea level. He is mostly growing Catuaí, a cross between Caturra and Mundo Novo, the latter itself a natural cross of Bourbon and Typica that occurred in Brazil.
Flavor profile: This coffee's sweetness has a note of cinnamon-laced cocoa, and a fair amount of brown sugar. At first sip, while the cup is still hot, you get loads of caramel and almond notes. Full bodied and very well balanced with hints of lemon peel, roasted almond and a touch of bittersweet chocolate.
Roast level: Medium/Dark
