This year's limited edition Halloween blend is a delectably dark affair that combines an Ethiopia Mansur Aba Hikam dry processed bean with a Guatemala Punta del Cerro from the La Libertad, Huehuetenango region.
The Ethiopia dry processed bean has loads of rich chocolate and molasses flavor when roasted into this uncharacteristically dark territory for an Ethiopian bean. It's full of syrupy molasses and intense chocolate bittersweet flavors. The Guatemala component makes up 30% of the blend and provides bold caramel richness and notes of roasted almond, sweet kettle corn and milk chocolate.
Overall, this rich, creamy, full bodied blend bursts of toasted marshmallow, dark fruits and cocoa. When brewed as espresso (at a slightly lower water temperature than normal), you'll be rewarded with toasted coconut, ripe berry and bittersweet chocolate.
