A very special, top-scoring coffee from a private washing station owner in the Konga region. As a very well managed coffee producer, this coffee was prepared to Grade 1 specifications with extensive hand sorting. After drying, the coffee was rested in its outer parchment layer for a few weeks before being run hulled and once again hand sorted for quality.
Being so close to the Yirga Cheffe region, this is a bright and complex coffee with all the typical characteristics of coffee from the region. The flavors are sweet and clean, with mouth-tingling acidity. Peach flavors round out the cooling cup, along with a hint of mango and a complex sweetness of honey and burnt sugar. If brewed just right you could be rewarded with hints of lilac, jasmine and lemon Danish pastry.
Flavor profile: Citric acidity, peach, mango, honey, jasmine and lemon.
