Sidamo covers a large area in Southern Ethiopia spreading through the fertile highlands south from Lake Awasa in the Rift Valley. The famous Yirgacheffe region geographically lies within Sidamo, though it is ultimately classified as its own coffee region. This coffee 7th place in last year's Ethiopia Cup of Excellence. It is grown by a co-op of farmers in Shantawene Village who had their coffee processed at the Daye Bensa Mill. It is a sweet, true Sidamo with the characteristic fruity flavors. Big, juicy candy-like flavors of strawberry and raspberry with sweet milk chocolate notes. Clean and complex, juicy acidity with a clean finish.
