This is a traditional double-washed (washed after depulping and fermenting, then soaked in clean water and dried on raised beds) coffee from Gedeo, Ethiopia, produced by Desta Gola in coordination with the Adame Gorbota Cooperative. Desta has been cultivating coffee since 2013 and with the help of the single lot program he has been able to sell his coffee as a micro-lot in recent years. Coffee is Desta’s main source of income to support his wife and their nine children (6 girls and 3 boys). Desta cultivated this single farmer lot on his 10-acre farm near the town of Gorbota located in the heart of the coveted Gedeo grow Zone.
Flavor notes: This is a late season Ethiopia coffee full of many unique flavors - immensely floral with fruit-flavors like peach and orange Starburst. As the cup cools it opens up to reveal sweet cinnamon, ginger and complex spices with a tea-like body. Wow!
